WP Remix.com has a new management
Earlier today, I announced the change of management at wpremix.com, a product close to my heart.
Why?
As the user base grew, so was the support queries, feature request and other daily chores that took almost all of my time. At the same time, I wasn’t prepared to handle everything. Sometime, that resulted in annoyance of the customer. I tried my best to keep up with the things and realized it was not possible for me to handle everything single handedly. Also I was beginning to feel that wpremix needs a good team that can improve the things and handle everything professionally.
And I decided to handover wpremix to someone for better of everyone.
When?
The change of management started taking place since 31st December, 2008.
What Now?
Actually this question bothers me as well.
- As I am back to the freelance career, I would love to work on some good, challenging and rewarding project(s). I would be grateful if you get in touch if you got a proposal for me.
- I always wanted to do something creative, useful and unique. WP Remix was one such project. Now, it’s time for me again to create something unique, easy and revolutionary. If you have got any suggestion, I would be grateful if you can comment on this post about it.
I am excited about my freelancing career and enthusiastic again to create something wonderful again.
It would be very helpful if you created an easy to use and highly functional photo gallery linked to an ecommerce capability for wpremix.
You should be really proud of what you have achieved with WP-Remix, you have revolutionized Wordpress by “making it more than a blog”.
Your decision is a wise one as you will now be free to use your talent to create even more for us all to enjoy!
I wish you all the best, much happiness, and thank you for WP Remix.
Nicola
Thanks Nicola. Yes, I do feel the relief and most of all, I am free from the guilty feeling of not being able to keep up with the user expectations. Looking forward to create something better and useful. Do drop ideas if you have any.
thanks
u sold it? so sad about it. i hope ur next creation better than wp-remix.
It’s an incredible theme, and it’s heart-warming to hear how excited you are about jumping back into what you love to do. I’m starting off on the freelancing side of things now, moving from theme support, so please let me know if I can be of any assistance to you with your new venture.
/congrats
Who are the new owners? Are we going to hear from them? Will they continue to develop it?
yes charles. They are going to continue it. The challenge right now is not to add to many unnecessary features.
Hi…love your wpremix work and also getting stuck into your other work here …let me just echo Charles’ questions above…with no updates and message of direction and commitment from the new wpremix owners my enthusiasm for a dev lic has been put on hold …can you shed further light on this or at least pass on these concerns to the new owners…since they are not communicating their ‘move-forward commitment…
Thanks
Hi Bill, you definitely have a point here. I will surely pass this message to the new owners.
At the same time, lets discuss this in a bit other perspective.WP Remix really does have everything that a theme actually needs. Now, if we keep adding new features, it will make the theme bloated. Instead, my opinion is to use the theme at its utmost potential. Such as creating new color schemes, sharing tips and tricks, case studies etc. from which, all the users can benefit.
thanks for your suggestion but just money was never my concern and that is why I didnt list this site on sitepoint. I assured that the new owners were capable of handling it but yes, I will request new owners about this one.
The theme is most assuredly being worked on, it will have several more important features in the coming version. You are correct, we should be doing a better job of keeping the users updated and we will do so in the future. The new version should be along in about 2 weeks.
