WP-Premium theme – should I improve it with new features?

I released the famous wp-premium theme in December 2007 and everyone loved it. It was also mentioned in smashing magazine and is being used by hundreds of users now.

Now that I am back to my freelance career, I just thought why not improve wp-premium themes with some cool features, color schemes, 2.7 compatibility and all? But I would like to ask the user first about this. As a wp-premium user, do you think it should be improved? If yes, can you please suggest features, thoughts in this post via comment?

Oh by the way, should there be a paid version of the theme as well? And if yes, how much would you like to pay for it?

  • I don’t use WP Premium on my site, but thought I would comment anyway. =)

A major issue for me when picking a theme is whether it is 2.7 compatible or not. Even if you didn’t want to add functionality I would think this would be worth your time.

  • I to think that adding new functions and compability would greatly help users and I as one would dearly like you to improve the theme. Great work!

  • I’ve just begun blogging and have your them installed. So therefore, yes, yes yes! I’m all for improving it. If you opt to provide a paid version I would not grumble over say +/= $50, but be aware that for someone like me, who is a neophyte at WP and themes, I would need to know what’s already out there and what a paid version would get me that’s not otherwise available. In other words, I’m not yet informed enough about what’s out there. That said, I do think as a principle that work should be rewarded and would not be opposed to paying.

  • Nice integration (from a design perspective) with twitter service would be appreciated.
Ability to change colors (i.e. pick a set of colors on kuler.adobe.com then replace theme ones with those)

  • Any news on the upcoming 2.7-compatible version? It’s been a few days since Feb 4 … ;-)

  • One function I would advise is internationalisation. Lots of people are using Wordpress in other languages than english nowadays. Using an english theme with an international site is no option…

    With kind regards,
