PremiumThemes.net – Highest Quality Premium WordPress Themes is coming!
The premium themes market seems promising and there are new paid themes popping up every day. However, not every paid theme is of premium quality and many of them are not even worth paying. The another concern is, wordpress themes are becoming more complex and we are forgetting the real use of wordpress – to write a blog. While there are numerous themes that are of good quality – available for free download, there are not many paid themes on offer that are meant for just blog. If corporate people or Individual professional wants to have a super high design, they have to pay for a custom design which may or may not match their exact needs.

Dear reader, I am happy to announce the forth coming launch of http://premiumthemes.net/ which is just two weeks away, will be a home of premium quality free and paid themes. Each and every theme will be exclusively designed, strategically coded and commented, SEO optimized, with theme admin options, widget-ready, supporting famous plug ins, documented, good support and more… and yet, they will all be unbelievably affordable!
Small Potato wrote on raising personal standard for paid wordpress themes. Ofcourse, all the upcoming themes at Premiumthemes.net will follow this guidelines. However, there will be more. While I completely agree with that, I think one thing is lacking in the list and that is, power to the people. Theme Options is really a good Idea to give the control of the theme to the site owner. Giving basic options like
- Adding Feedburner ID
- Advertisement Management
- Setting Page/Blog Width
- Site Title/Logo as Image or Text?
- Background color and Text Color settings
- Sidebar on Left or Right?
- Show at most (n) posts in Blog Index
- etc.
Thomas Silkj?r at undersigned introduced theme options and that is really a wonderful feature if you wish to give the power to control the theme behavior to the real user. I am planning on adding this feature in WP Remix theme as well in near future.
A request: I firmly believe any product should be useful and according to the customer need. I request the reader to write their opinion on the premium themes. I would also request to specify your blog theme needs in comments. Who knows, i might just build a theme that will suit your need exactly?
Update: The premiumthemes.net website has been launched just before few days. Go check it here: http://premiumthemes.net/
I definitely agree. The wordpress community is a very healthy one, however there are numerous seedy types who have identified this community spirit, and instead of embracing it, have tried their best to exploit it. This has lead to multiple ‘premium’ themes that don’t hold a candle to most of the free themes you can get. Raising the personal standard for premium AND free themes is a great idea, and one which we need to continue pushing the wordpress commnity forward.
Awesome idea!
I forgot to specify the kinds of things i look for in a blog.
Basically the ability to choose between an image or text logo is very important to me. Multiple colour options is also an excellent feature that a lot of themes are missing.
I wish there was a music blog theme out there with parts in the side bar for pictures of album covers i’m currently listening to etc..
that would be so sweet.
Anyway, love your work!
Will.
You know some people are against premium themes, but I am kind of for it. I’m excited to see how people use the base technology of Wordpress and take it to another level. So my hat is off to you for stepping out and creating this site. The good news for us all is that the better the premium themes get the better the free ones will be as well.
Hi there,
I really like your work. I plan on hiring you for some GUI design in the not too distant future.
As to your question, the theme design that I really have been looking for but have been unable to find is one that would allow you to run a quality review site incorporating a plug-in such as:
http://www.sourcebench.com/toolbox/sb_review-wordpress-review-plugin/
Ideally this would be built into the theme as the whole review site theme would be built with such a thing in mind. I have searched high and low for a theme that could easily pass as a good looking review site however this is something that is just not out there.
In any event, love your work, keep it up!
I forgot to mention my thoughts on the whole premium theme thing.
Personally as someone that has no real design ability and limited programming ability I find the premium theme concept to be a great one.
My one suggestion would be to allow more options to themes to make them more flexible to users. You accomplished this with your WP-Remix project, however the thing that I see it lacking are options for changing color schemes and such. This is the sort of thing that would allow people to retain a high quality design but at the same time give their own sites a more unique feel.
Just my 2 cents.
I think some are hesitant to pay for a premium theme since there are so many free ones available. But the potential for selling themes is great. The designs have to be excellent and of high quality. Unfortunately there are some who just put together a sloppy theme and prey people by it.
I agree with Stephan above. Many are not great (or interested) in coding, a highly customizable theme has larger potential. It may take longer to design but including some different colors and some popular plugins is appealing to many.
I’m really feeling this idea. The challenge has always been the ability to deliver quality look and feel for websites powered by Wordpress.
I’m more interested in using Wordpress as a CMS though of course I love WP as a blog platform. I’ve always maintained that Theme design is not for everyone, not everyone can visualize beautiful themes let alone code them and make them valid.
I’m decent at development but design just isn’t a real strong point so I always let someone else handle that. If I can get high quality themes of both the Blog and CMS variety I wouldn’t mind paying for them, even if they needed a few extra tweaks to make them work just right for me ‘cos I can go into the PHP code and mangle it a li’l.
Hm… It’s nice to hear that.
I just download your WP-Premium theme and I’ll modified it when I need, cause you make it so easy to be edited.
If wwww.premiumthemes.net can hit the market with paid or not, I’ll be the first person to take a look and write article about it.
You are a master for me, thanks to share what you can do
(sorry for my English).
@Everybody: Thanks for your wonderful comments. Points noted down and I will make sure I do justice to the upcoming themes.
PremiumThemes.net is ready to go. Final testing is being done and I hope to Announce it by March 15.
I’ve been looking for a nice theme for a technical blog that has close to enough content to push live; I’m eager to see how the themes turn out. I’m one of those folk who – while I’m comfortable working in CSS – really just wants a selection of mostly prefab stuff I can take, color, and use… Just too much real work on my hands to worry about blog tweaking these days. But I’ll happily pay for the convenience. The “WP Premium” theme is what first caught my attention.
As someone new to Wordpress and who has spent a day or two circling round numerous theme websites I like the idea of premium sites that offer good designs with the kind of customisation options you describe.
While some of the free themes may be of equal quality (and maybe sometimes even be better than paid for themes) by paying for themes I would hope this opened up extras like updates, multiple colour & layout options, quick response to bug reports, more detailed readme and help files to get started, etc. This is all worth paying for in my book.
I think the kind of premium site you describe and are building where they are clearly built by the theme designers and customers can be confident they are supporting the designers is fantastic. I have come across a number of “premium” sites where it isn’t clear if you are actually paying the author of the theme, or indeed if they will even see a penny of the price.
Good luck with your venture!
David.
More power to you! Yeah, there are a lot of free Wordpress templates out there. But there aren’t a lot of GOOD free Wordpress templates out there. In fact, it’s a pretty small club. And because there is such a small selection of GOOD free Wordpress templates out there, you see the same design over and over. I think paying a small amount to get a well coded, well thought out, USABLE theme is worth it… just for the fact that I know not very many people out there will have it.
As far as theme features, I think you hit it on the head with this last one you made. I like the multiple color options and double-columned sidebar with the option to put it on the right. I like the integrated Feedburner sign up… everything is well put together. Cheers!
Hey R.Bhavesh,
You’re doing a great job here.I do have tried a lot free themes, but not good at customization.I can’t even modify them as my own will.Until I found your site.I am using the Free ?WP Premium? Theme from you. When I want to make a little change for myself, it’s easy and cool!
I will definitely support your premiumthemes.net.It’s a great idea and your work, yeah, great job!
Hi, good idea. I have done a lot of custom Wordpress themes for people. The important piece in my experience is not so much the technology, but the support. I love wordpress because it puts pubishing in the hands of content generators, but these people seldomly know the first thing about running a website and need a lot of hand holding. Good luck to you. I think it is a great idea. I hope you do not price them too cheap! It is a lot of work to make a really good theme.
Hi, I?m new to Wordpress and i?m discovering the fantastic array of features that exist around in form of themes and add-ons. Your Premiun Wordpress Theme is simple well written, made with good taste and ingenuity. I want to make a cool blog and your themes provide just that. I?d like to have your CSS expertise man.
Thanks!

I own a number of blogs and I’ve spent quite a bit of time over the last month or so trying to find new themes for a few of them. I like themes that are customizable as well. By this I mean customizable headers (image and or text), one or two sidebars and a choice of their placement (either side or both on left or right) and one that I’d really like to see would be the ability to make a sidebar larger.
I was actually searching tonight for a theme with a 300 px sidebar as I have one advertiser willing to pay a premium price for a 300 px by 160 px ad and of course I can’t really find a theme that I like nor that has all of the other features that I need.
I see a lot of templates paid or not, but all lack adequate ad space. Sure you can go hacking the php files but how many people do that? And by sufficient ad space I don’t mean those small 125×125 pixel squares you see everywhere.
Hello, i need to buy Corporate Blue personal license, but unlike other themes, both buy buttons in Corporate Blue lead to Developer License. I’ve contacted you through contact form twice but no answer.
Please advise.
You are going to get a few long comments mate, amazing how people put effort in when they have got something to gain from it.
Anyway, my views on Premium themes is simple. If you wanna charge for your theme then do it, a hell of a lot of hard work goes into theme design and to just give it away does not make sense. In the past link juice was payment but this is not or wont be the case for much longer. As soon as google sees an autogenerated (footer link) that link wont hold much weight. Cant confirm but this is my feeling, so alas developers must find another way to benifit from the hard work.
With premium themes you have many benifits, some are an extremely well designed them. Hopefully the required support too which is not existent with free themes.
As for Options, I think that it as good idea especially with magazine type themes (why magazine?) as they normally have featured posts to configure etc.
As far as integrations go, I would like to see easier management of the front page in terms of placement etc of feature posts. This is probably out of the scope of Wordpress.
Anyway, good post. This will continue to raise questions in the future.
Regards,
Byron
Premium themes are great for clients who want a site rolled out ASAP. As a consultant being able to source, evaluate and recommend customisations to clients is a flip of a coin, I say this as there is no standard in web development and what I recommend may not be feasible without a complete theme rebuild by another developer in which case my thoughts hit the bin. This is an issue the premium themes community will need to collaborate on, this would be good.
i actually see a lot of really good free and premium templates out there for Wordpress, but I think the designers are forgetting the most important characteristic – retaining the EASE and low difficulty of installation. Wordpress is popular because its very usable “out of the box”. A lot of designers are ruining this aspect of the experience. I am used to building regular sites. Wordpress is still relatively new, as well as other blog-like software packages. I like the automatiion of things, but I find a lot of these templates are removing the “ease” out of my vocabulary. I have been fooling with one very popular theme for weeks now to no avail.
In fact, I don’t want to pay for a uber-popular theme from the “it company” because I can’t imagine paying so that I can fiddle. Wordpress should always be a 2 minute installation affair – we can focus on content. Some people need to realize that we dont want to download or buy their “DIY” themes. Its not fun and its anti-WordPress.
Yeah, you still giving away $5 memberships? If they are as good as you say, I’d like to give one of them a spin around the block.
Wow, what great templates. I was looking for the revolution package and I found your free theme and it is probably the best free theme I have yet to see.
I have been checking out the premium site and those look great too.
I would like to see a few custom pages that were either gallery like, or maybe product pages.
I saw you had them in remix.
I wish the remis was a little more styled like your free one, but it does have awesome flexibility. I will pick it up one day.
Cheers!

While having too many options on which theme to choose can be so unwieldy for a newbie to blogging, having many to choose from is preferable to having none at all. A rule of thumb to follow is to choose a theme that is simple for beginners yet offers flexibility as the blogger develops competencies along the way.
I look forward to the release of the Premium Themes site. I believe that variety in themes is definitely a good thing. Although standardization makes for ease of use and adaptability, there is something to be said for the “personal touch”.
All of your themes that I have seen are professional looking and can be used for commercial and personal endeavors equally. Kudos.. and I eagerly await your future works.
I started last year to look around for a good WP theme. I rate the WPRemix as probably amongst my top 3 best themes at this time. I really think that the WPRemix theme brought a new dimension to the premium themes market with the number of page options within the install. Here is my suggestion – The different page options is what puts WPRemix in a class of its own. Now you can build on this by adding to the options on a regular basis and up-selling the new options to the buyers of the core theme. This kind of support would also be attractive to new buyers.
I commend this post, actually, you are right on the mark when it comes to giving the client flexibility. Especially ones who are not as well versed into code as many bloggers.
Recently, when starting up a collaborative blog, I had difficulty in customizing it, because themes just don’t go out of their way to be helpful.
For example.
1. Author images
2. author descriptions at the end of posts
3. News section on the sidebar (not just titles, but excerpts)
4. Featured Post
5. Dropdown menus
6. Sub-pages
Some themes just don’t give flexibility or options.
Again, there are many great looking themes, but not many with functionality and options.
(hope this comment is enough for that free membership?)
Wow!! It’s very good to see some nice compilations in one place. I think everybody loves too see premium tehemes like WP Remix! So go on your masterwork
“WoW, this is a good place to look for quality wordpress theme.

Thanks for your theme and great job!
Thanks. To see them in one place helped me to much. There are many word press themes there.
For about a year i have done a lot of custom Wordpress themes for my affiliate. I do love wordpress because it puts pubishing in the hands of content generators and it is a lot of work to make a really good theme aka premium wp theme.
Premium themes are great, specially for ‘newbie’ webmaster who want his/her site rolled out ASAP.
Most of all, this day Wordpress not always considered as weblog but also CMS. It backhend with many available plugin, free or paid plugin.
So glad I’ve come across your site. I’ve been looking for quality Wordpress themes for my blog and came across your site from a friend’s (ckwebb.com). I’ve had the hardest time finding themes that look professional – as Wordpress’ own theme gallery is impossible to navigate and find the hidden gems. Will definitely bookmark your site and plan to install one of your themes soon!
Best,
Kirsten
I checked out your portfolio and think your themes are fresh and clear. I might be looking for one that has a light hearted air about it. Informative but light hearted. How’s that for vague?

I have seen sometimes WP themes at $80 and to be honest I find them overprized for what they offer, there are hundreds of free themes around, to shell $80 for one they should have something nobody else has, and I am not referring to the background colour.
I would pay for a premium theme if it fit my needs, number one thing that free themes forget is banner space on the blog, usually people buying a theme are not amateurs but professional bloggers with money making in mind, and banner advertising is primordial for this.
There is a market for premium themes but just building any theme with not target audience wont goo too far, I would pay up to $40 for a good one, that will help me increase my blog revenue.
This is one of those times I’d probably just be able to say ‘wow’, but since you don’t want me to, then I’ll just drool..
No really, I love the free theme more than the rest, probably because they’re all that I can get my hands on *drool again..

Thats lovely!
Even the good free Wordpress templates (Cutline is one) don’t hold a candle to WP-remix. In fact, I think WP-Remix is one of the few Wordpress themes of any kind that truly allows for CMS style multiple layouts right out of the box.
More so than any plugin, WP-Remix lets Wordpress be a CMS for a full on, full-featured website. The automatic dropdown menus, the multiple layouts, the built-in contact form, the built-in search (not unique but good), the wordsmithing even, and especially the multiple home layouts….
Crucial CMS stuff. Nice work Bhavesh.
I use their themes. And there are many good themes in them.
I didnt like the themes there.
Newbies or Joomla users often tell me how they like Joomla. I always tell them they haven’t tried using wordpress or they have not seen the full potential of wordpress.
I’ve tried almost all kinds of free blogging tools, including Drupal. In the end I still returned to Wordpress. Nothing really beats it and now these Premium Themes caught my eye cos partially I was unable to download one I won few months back (through another site).
I think these premium themes are proof that wordpress can indeed create full-featured websites for personal blogs to sites for large corporations; there’s already the shopping cart plugin as well as translation plugins.
The next level might be in using wordpress for collaboration.
I think that everybody who sells themes must have some free themes to try. I am using a free version now but i think that when your blog becomes popular you want to improve it and here it comes: you order a premium theme, pay a bit, and your blog become ideal and thats what i am looking for now, good luck for everybody!
I checked out your portfolio and think your themes are fresh and clear. I might be looking for one that has a light hearted air about it. Informative but light hearted. How?s that for vague?

I think your themes are seems wonderfull, when i check them i said ‘wow’
We know theme is very important for our sites,i think it’s like a dress.
Thanks for your themes.
